I can safely be considered a general purpose geek in that my skill set is very broad. I have, at various points in my career, been systems administrator, a programmer, a project manager, and a technical liaison.

For the past year or so, I’ve specialized in programming. More specifically, in the Ruby on Rails web application framework. I’ve written several internal use database front ends (mostly mysql and sqlite) in Rails and have become very proficient with it.

I also have a fairly deep knowledge of Perl, PHP, and Javascript and have used them all extensively. However, if given the option, I will choose Ruby on Rails for most projects - the only exception being projects that need to scale extensively.

In addition to database front-ends, I can also do:

• CMS selection and customization
• Dynamic web sites of all kinds
• Web site promotion, including search engine optimization
• Just about anything else that can be done with a computer
